Red Carpet Manicure Cinderella Collection & Disney Pro Kit
Red Carpet Manicure (RCM) has collaborated with Disney to create The Cinderella Collection! The colors in the RCM gel polish collection are inspired by the new Disney Cinderella movie that opened in theaters this past Friday. There are six shades in this collection, as well as three web exclusive shades that can be found on the RCM website.
The six shades in this collection come in adorable storybook boxes. When I saw the pictures on their website I thought they were just web graphics and didn’t realize they were the actual boxes. Below is a picture of one of the boxes. Each color comes in a different storybook box. You can see them all here.
Below is a photo of the contents of the box. It includes a 6-watt LED lamp that is designed to match the gel polish color that also comes in the kit called Life is Short, Wear a Tiara. The lamp is a portable 4-finger lamp that’s great for travel. It cures each gel polish coat in 45 seconds and has a small timer button on top.
The kit also includes Prep, Structure (base coat), Brilliance (top coat), Revitalize (cuticle oil), Purify (cleanser), Erase (remover) and an instruction card.
Well, Aren’t We Lovely is a gorgeous hot pink. RCM’s website says this polish has a cream finish, but I can see a very very subtle shimmer and I think that gives it a little more of a pop. I love this color, and it’s a two-coater!
That’s Madam to You is a shimmery teal-leaning medium blue. When I put this color side-by-side with my other swatches it’s bluer than my teals, but more teal that my blues. It falls somewhere in the middle of blue and teal. I don’t really have any other shades exactly like it. For reference, Gelish Party at the Palace is more of a greenish teal and has a more prominent golden shimmer.
This polish also had a nice formula and was opaque in two coats.
Fairy Tale Moment is a pale yellow cream, which also has a very very subtle shimmer. I had some troubles with the application of this polish… it went on very uneven and streaky and required three coats for full coverage. This color is in the same color family as a few other yellows in my collection: LeChat Happily Ever After (just slightly darker), ACG Flawless, and Trugel Smoke & Mirrors.
Life is Short, Wear a Tiara is a very pretty polish with a periwinkle blue-tinted sheer base and silver and holographic glitter. This polish goes on very sheer and could be used as a glitter topper or worn on its own. The swatch below shows three coats with no base color underneath.
This polish is similar to Gelish If The Slipper Fits, except the base colors are different. The Gelish base is more of a silvery blue color.
Put a Slipper On It contains white and holographic silver glitter in a clear base. This could also be worn as a topper over a base color or on its own. The swatch below shows two coats with no base color. I personally didn’t care much for the texture of this polish. It was a little thick and the glitter didn’t always lay flat which left the surface feeling slightly bumpy in spots.
Many of you have said that this color is a duplicate for the Morgan Taylor lacquer shade called The Best Ball Gown Ever. The color is similar, but it’s more sheer and the shimmer finish is much more scattered. The Morgan Taylor shade has more of a frosty shimmer finish and has better coverage. I turned The Best Ball Gown Ever into a gel polish using Revel Up2You. See that post here to see how it compares.
Red Carpet Manicure gel polish is available for purchase online at Redcarpetmanicure.com, Ulta.com, Drugstore.com, Walgreens.com, as well as ULTA Beauty, Fred Meyer, Meijer, Duane Reade, Wegmans and Harmon Drug. The retail price is $12.99 for a 9ml bottle, though I saw some good sale prices at some of the links I just mentioned!
