At the suggestion of one of my readers, I decided to create a summary page containing all of my Harmony Gelish swatches. I will update this page on an ongoing basis as I swatch new colors. Click on the images to see larger photos, and click on the links to view or purchase the items on Amazon.com. They have the best prices on Gelish that I have found.

Gelish All About the Glow Color Comparisons 3

I have the much anticipated color comparisons for you!  First up is I’m Brighter Than You, and the only color that this is close to is Sweet Morning Dew.  I was worried that these would be too similar, but I’m Brighter Than You is much lighter/brighter. The formula is also much better so if you’re deciding between the two, I recommend I’m Brighter.

Brights Have More Fun vs. Shake It Til You Samba… not much difference here.  Brights Have More Fun is just slightly lighter/brighter, but I don’t see the need for owning both of these since they’re so close.  Shake It Til You Samba is probably my pick of the two because it has a great formula and offers full coverage with just two coats.

Sometimes A Girl’s Gotta Glow is seen here on the index finger and pinky… it’s pretty different from the other greens in the Rio Neon and Candyland collections.  It’s my fav of the three.

Sorry, I cheated on this one since my nails need a little break after all of the swatching.  :)   Radiance is My Middle Name is closest to Garden Teal Party, but again is a few shades lighter.  Garden Teal Party has better coverage with no visible nail line, but Radiance has a better formula…. it’s a toss up.  I love blues, and really like these both.  Radiance is so bright and fun.  I’ve been wearing it for 2 days now and plan to keep it on the rest of the week (that’s a long time for me).

Gelish All About the Glow Collection Swatches – Summer 2013 3

The new All About the Glow collection from Gelish is finally here!  This has been promoted as their “brightest collection yet”, and I think it’s a pretty accurate claim.  The Rio Neon collection was bright, but in comparison these are even brighter!  I will have some comparisons to share with you very soon.

I am happy to tell you that the formula of these polishes is improved from some of the previous collections.  They aren’t thick and I didn’t experience any wrinkling or curing issues… and I actually tried to get them to wrinkle by applying some thicker layers.  I checked my swatches for fading after about 24 hours and didn’t notice any changes in the colors.  My only complaint about the formula is that the colors didn’t apply as evenly as I would have liked and required three coats each for even coverage.  With that said, I think they are all brilliant colors.  I’ve been wearing Radiance Is My Middle Name (teal) today, and LOVE it!

Make You Blink Pink reminds me of a Barbie!  It’s a super bright pink unlike any other by Gelish.

Brights Have More Fun is a darker hot pink.  It’s very similar to Shake It Til You Samba, but it’s slightly lighter & brighter.

I’m Brighter Than You is a vivid coral/peach color.  This one is similar to Sweet Morning Dew, but is also lighter and brighter.

Sometimes A Girl’s Gotta Glow is a brilliant lime green.  I will compare this to Amazon Flirt and You’re Such a Sweet-Tart.

Radiance is My Middle Name is a bright teal color.  As I mentioned, I’ve been wearing this all day and absolutely love it.  I will compare this with Garden Teal Party, though it’s visibly brighter.

You Glare, I Glow is an electric shade of purple unlike any other by Gelish.

Gelish Rio Neon Collection Swatches 7

I have another set of Gelish swatches for you! This is the Rio Neon collection that was released previously. Since Gelish will be releasing a new neon collection very soon, I wanted to swatch this older collection for comparison purposes.  All of these colors applied with ease, no wrinkling or curing issues.  A few of the colors are actually on the thin side and are a bit transparent leaving a visible nail line.

As you would expect with a neon collection, the colors are bright!!  This is Shake It Til You Samba, a neon pink.  This is a very fun summer color, and it has great coverage with just two coats.

Tiki Tiki Laranga is a neon orange.  This color did have some shrinkage issues and pulled back from the edges a little.

Coco Cabana Banana… the name says it all… hello yellow!

Amazon Flirt is a neon green.  You’ll need a pair of sunglasses when you wear this or Coco Cabana!  ;)

Ooba Ooba Blue… this one doesn’t really seem neon to me.  This color is a bit thin and I had some shrinkage issues.  I’d recommend Sugar Daddy over this blue since the colors are similar and it has much better coverage.

And finally, Carnaval Hangover.  On all of the Gelish swatches this appears to be purple, and when you put it next to the other colors in this collection it is purple-ish… however next to other colors in my collection, this appears to be more on the pink side than purple.  It also doesn’t strike me as being “neon”, but it’s a gorgeous color and I’ve worn it a few times already.  It also has great coverage with just two coats.

Gelish Candyland Collection 2

Last spring Gelish released the Candyland collection, filled with bright, cheerful colors.  I’m swatching this collection and the Rio Neon collection so that I can compare them to the new All About the Glow collection that’s slated to be released in May.

Each of theses swatches is three coats of color.  The formulas in this collection are nice – the colors all apply easily and I didn’t have any issues with thickness or wrinkling.

This is You’re So Sweet You’re Giving Me a Toothache.  It’s a creamy light pink.  Rumor has it this color fades a little after application, so I’ll do a swatch stick comparison of this if I see any fading.  You’re so sweet is very close in color to Pink Smoothie, but it’s slightly darker.

This is Sugar ‘N Spice & Everything Nice, a bright pink.

Geometric Nail Art & Gelish You’re Such a Sweet-Tart 2

It’s actually starting to feel like spring outside… ahhhhh.  The warm air inspired me to play with some bright colors. This manicure started with a base of Gelish You’re Such a Sweet Tart and then I used nail art striping tape to apply some additional geometric shapes on top of it. The other colors used are Gelish My Favorite Accessory and Carnival Hangover. I added the dots with a dotting tool and my Konad white polish.  I really had no plan and just randomly added shapes, but I think it turned out kind of cool.

Gelish High Voltage Swatch 4

Are you ready for another glittery Gelish polish?! This is High Voltage – a pink jelly base that’s loaded with glitter.  I feel like such a girl… I can’t get enough glitter right now.  LOL This is three coats of High Voltage and it applied very evenly.  I’m working my way through these Gelish swatches.  At this rate I might have the entire line swatched by the end of the year!  I heard there will be some new summer colors coming out so hopefully I’ll know more soon.

I’m also working on some gel polish FAQ’s.  Let me know if you have any questions and I’ll try to address them in a post this week.

Gelish Golden Treasure & Twinkle Swatches 9

I’ve been searching for a gel polish that has fine gold glitter, but is also very dense and provides full coverage.  I purchased Gelish Golden Treasure and Gelish Twinkle, but unfortunately neither of them quite fit the bill since they don’t provide full coverage.  They are both lovely though and since they have a clear base they would be great glitter toppers over other colors.

In person I really can’t tell a huge difference between the two, so I don’t see the need to own both.  Twinkle is a little more of a yellow gold, and it has some holographic glitters sprinkled in the mix.  I applied three coats of each in the swatches below.

Don’t Steal & Give Credit Where Credit is Due 8

Today you may notice that all of my Gelish swatches have a new watermark symbol on them.  Unfortunately, I’ve been having a lot of issues with people and companies stealing my images and cropping out the watermark (aka copyright infringement!).  I really didn’t want to cover my pictures with invasive watermarks, but I don’t see any other way to protect my property.

I spend countless hours polishing my nails, taking photos, editing and writing blog posts in an attempt to create a valuable resource for nail polish lovers.  I don’t make a lot of money doing this… it’s a labor of love.  All I ask in return is that if you use my pictures, please leave the watermarks in tact and give credit!  It’s really that simple.  Just because you find images on Google or social media sites doesn’t mean they are free for the taking and you can do whatever you like with them.  These photos are my property and I reserve all rights to them.

If you see my photos in use without the proper credits in place, please let me know through my contact form.  Don’t post their links in the comments because we don’t want to send any traffic or business their way!  Thanks for understanding.

Gelish Carnival Hangover Swatch 3

This is Carnival Hangover by Gelish. All of the swatches that I’ve seen for this polish have looked more purple, but mine looks like a bright pink.  I’m not sure if this one might be a color changer and changed in the bottle before I opened it.  I just purchased it a couple of weeks ago, so it hasn’t been sitting around here for too long.  Hmm… I do love the color though. It’s an awesome shade for spring/summer and I’m sure I’ll get some wear out of it.  You can also see this color in my recent zig zag skittlette manicure.
