Morgan Taylor Chrome Collection
I don’t often write about nail lacquer (non-gel polish), but I received a new product from Morgan Taylor that intrigued me and wanted to share it with you! Morgan Taylor launched a new Chrome Collection that includes a silver chrome base coat and six bright color washes. Application is a simple two-step process in which you apply one coat of the chrome base, and one coat of color wash over top. The end result is a bright, lustrous, metallic finish!
I received a mini kit that included the silver chrome base and three color washes, so I used all three colors in one look! The three colors in the kit are Sunset Yellow, Ultramarine (blue), and Ivy (green). The other colors that are also available are Amber Rush (orange), Cherry (hot red-pink), and Royal (purple). Of course I LOVE the blue!!!
I was surprised at the amazing coverage of the base coat. It’s thick, but applies smoothly and evenly, and dries quickly. The color washes also dry extremely fast. I applied one of the colors onto a nail just to see how it looked alone and it was almost instantly dry. Here’s a quick shot of the chrome base before I applied the colors.
This chrome/metallic look seems to be trending right now. I’ve seen a couple similar products including Caption Lucents and OPI Colorpaints. There may be others as well, but those are the two that come to mind.
The Morgan Taylor Chrome Collection is in stores now, but will only be available for a limited time. The suggested retail price for the lacquer is $8.50 per bottle, and $14.95 for the 4-piece mini pack. For more information visit www.morgantaylorlacquer.com.
Can you wear the base alone?
Sure, why not?!
Gorj!! Just the base alone is pretty cool!
I might need this for the chrome-like silver alone. Love that color for my toes. My old fav of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri had a silver but I haven’t seen it in a while. Any word if Gelish is going to make a matching set? That would be awesome!!!
I don’t believe Gelish is making these.
Essie also has a collection like this. :)
Yep, the Silk Watercolors.
OMG!!! This chrome collection is a must! It has great colors and great finish as well. Can’t wait to get my hands on these :)
if you find this in gelpolish, this will be great
it s the new trend now

Wet Paint has a jelly collection like this but….they have 15 colors!! I have 9 of them so far. I also have the OPI Paint collection too so I have tons of colors to play with. I would love to see someone do comparisons of the different brands.
