Gelish Sheer Neutral Swatches

I’m working my way through swatching all of the Gelish colors.  I’m not sure if I’m going to meet my goal of having them all done by the end of the year because there are two new collections being released soon.  Gelish MINI announced on their FB page that they are releasing some new glitter polishes in October, and then the winter collection should be coming out sometime shortly after that… maybe November.  I haven’t heard the official release date yet.  Outside of the new colors/collections coming out, I have about 20 more swatches to do of existing polishes and a few more that I’ve already done that need to be posted.  If you’re new to my blog, you can see a summary of all of my Gelish swatches to-date in my Gelish Swatch Gallery.

Today I have a few sheer neutrals to share with you.  I personally love bright, bold colors so sheers aren’t typically my thing, but sometimes it’s nice to wear something simple and understated.  These polishes also work well with French manicures.  Each of the swatches below has three coats of color and a top coat.  I listed them in order of lightest to darkest (from white to tan).

Gelish Vanilla Silk looked almost clear to me as I was applying it, but it’s slightly milky and has a very subtle pearly iridescence to it.

Gelish Sweet Dream is just a touch milkier than Vanilla Silk.  To be honest, I have a hard time telling these two apart.

Gelish Moroccan Nights is a sheer nude/tan shade.

Gelish Ivory Coast is also tan, but a little darker than Moroccan Coast and it has a subtle shimmer.

Hi Andrea! Would you recommend sweet dream or ambience to use for a French manicure? Presently I use izzy wizzy let’s get busy and fear that ambience may be too similar. Thanks!
