DIY Hard Nails Glitter Toppers
Today I have two swatches of glitter toppers from the DIY Hard Nails line of gel polishes. I first wrote about these products a couple of weeks ago when I reviewed two of the DIY color changing gel polishes. These glitter toppers can be worn on their own, over a color, or you can do fun things with them such as creating glitter gradients. They are both loaded with holographic glitters and really sparkle in the light. These swatches are two coats each over a clear base.
Blue Cocktail is a mixture of small and medium sized teal blue holo glitter, and larger silver holo hexes.
Galaxy Twilight has medium sized blue and purple hexes and small silver holographic glitters.

How did you get started doing this? I look forward to seeing your emails. I am a nail tech, but not in the business now. I just do friends and family. I love the collection that you have and would love to have a set up like you have. As always thanks for all your information and wonderful pictures.
Thanks, Della. It started as a hobby. My mom and I decided to go halves on a gel starter kit a few years ago so that we could do our own nails at home and it quickly turned into an obsession for me! I think I owned around 20-30 bottles of gel polish when I started this blog. :)
Question, when you are using other shellack or gel polish, do you also use their foundation and top coat too or could you just use what you have such as a Gellish foundation but another brand of gel or shellack and then the Gellish top coat. Would like to try some of the other gel brands that you have shown, but wasn’t sure if I could just use the Gellish foundation and topper with them or I need to buy brand specific when using. Thanks
I mix and match brands all the time and it works just fine.
