Gelish Get Color-Fall Collection (2014 Fall Gelish Colors)
I have swatches of the new Gelish Get Color-Fall Collection for you! These Gelish MINI polishes can be purchased at Sally Beauty Supply. The six colors in this collection are inspired by the brilliant colors of nature in the fall. Each of my swatches demonstrates three coats of color. The formula of these polishes was great and very easy to apply. Keep in mind though that I am using the MINIs, so the full size versions could be slightly different. So let’s get to the colors…
Gelish Do I Look Buff
Do I Look Buff is a neutral cream. It has a very slight shimmer to it that’s hardly noticeable in pictures. I think this is my perfect nude! It falls right in between Need A Tan and Skinny Vanilla Latte on the color scale. This color does fade (darken) slightly over time.
Gelish Berry Buttoned Up
Berry Buttoned Up is a lush, shimmery purple! I’m in love with this shade. It’s totally unique to the Gelish line, but is similar to CND Shellac Tango Passion and ibd Indian Sari. In my opinion, this one is the best of the three. It has the best coverage and the most shimmery finish.
Gelish Clean Slate
UPDATED on 8/11/14: I received a new bottle of Clean Slate and it is an opaque medium grey as seen in the picture below. Please ignore my previous photos of the sheer grey polish as that is not the correct color.
Gelish Rake in the Green
Rake in the Green is a dark grey/green cream. This color is similar to Gelish I’m No Stranger to Love, but this is a little lighter and has more grey. This is a great dark shade for fall and winter.
Gelish Whose Cider Are You On?
Whose Cider Are You On is a gorgeous shimmery brown! This is another unique color. This shade is much darker and much more rich and shimmer than Gelish Sweet Chocolate. I think this will be a very popular color this fall. Love!
Gelish Hello, Merlot!
Hello, Merlot! is a rich, berry cream. I have a lot of shades of red, but this one is a little different from all the rest. It has a slight pink-ish tone to it that makes it more of a berry color than a pure red. I typically shy away from reds, but I really like this.
So which is your favorite?! For me it’s a toss up between All Berry Buttoned Up and Whose Cider Are You On?
Thanks for great swatches again :-).
My favourites 2 r the same as yours, great to have some unique shades at lasts. I’m vering to the berry the more I look at them.
Can’t wait for them to make it to uk
I already have Hello Merlot, Whose Cider Are You On, and Clean Slate (the opaque light blue/grey one) but I think I need to go back and get Do I Look Buff and Berry Buttoned Up! Gorgeous purple and the perfect nude. I didn’t look too closely at them while I was at Cosmoprof the last time because I was busy being mesmerized by Clean Slate and Whose Cider Are You On. Lol
Both the nude and the gray look too sheer for my taste. And the others look too much like regular polishes that I have in my collecton, which I use up in gelly sandwiches. I have a couple of other opaque nudes that will work. So much as I love the quality of Gelish polish, I will probably pass on this collection.
But may I just thank you for doing this blog. I have bought some of my gel polishes simply because I was able to see what they looked like in your swatches.
Ooh Andrea, you evil temptress! I like many of these colours. I even might wear the grey if the full bottle turns out to be as you say.
Would welcome some comparisons: Cider with The Naughty List, and the red with Stand Out and Black Cherry Berry. Would also like to see the green one alongside another dark green and a dark blue, because in your swatch it actually looks blue to me.
Thanks!
Thanks for updating the grey. That’s quite different. Not sure if I would wear it or not. Hmm… One to ponder
I had to order 2 of these right away! So pretty! Thanks, as always, for the swatches!
thank u so much for all your great posts, i am a beginner and your blog has been soooo helpful and informative! I am from London and it is quite difficult to get Harmony Gelish polishes here as you can only buy from their website if you are a nail technician and have a certificate… Also the ones that you can find on ebay/amazon are quite expensive – around £15 each, so i think it is much more than in the US? Are there any other brands that you could recommend?
I was looking at your swatch gallery before and i noticed Hello, Merlot; Do i look buff and Clean slate as my fav ones, did not know they are all from the Fall 2014 collection, hope to find them on amazon soon :-)
Hi Maria. I’m not overly familiar with the gel polish brands that are available in Europe, but I have been doing some work with Pink Gellac which is based in the Netherlands. You might check out their website. Unfortunately the prices of gel polish are much higher in Europe.
Just to alert you that the composite picture on the home page of all the colours still has the old grey swatch on it. The composite and this page and all the others are fine. You may have to re-set your featured image (or something).
I know. I keep trying to update it but it won’t take. I even uploaded new images with the same names directly to the server.
After seeing your gorgeous swatches, I decided I “needed” Whose Cider Are You On and Berry Buttoned Up. I checked the closest Sally’s but they did not have them. I casually mentioned to my boyfriend that I didn’t find them. After he got out of work, he went to another store to look. He rode his Harley, parked in front of the store, walked in, and promptly told the sales clerk he was looking for nail polish.

How come Sally beauty doesn’t have the color fall collection ?? Could you post the link pleass
I linked to each of the colors on Amazon.com in the post above. I’m not sure what other links you’re looking for. Sally’s has the Fall collection in the stores, but the website usually takes longer to be updated with new colors.
Andrea, I’m wondering how Gelish Hello, Merlot! compares with Ink Metro?
I like the nude polish, but I have a question. Is it a cream or is it a sheer? It looks like I can see the white tips of your nails through, which leads me to believe it could be a sheer. If it is a good solid cream, I wold definitely go buy it. I love the durability of Gelish polish.
