Video: A peek at my stash & nail station

I thought I’d make a quick little video to give you a glimpse of my work area and nail polish stash.  I always find it interesting to see how other people store their polish and what their work areas look like.  I’m thinking of doing a few video tutorials, so let me know if there’s anything specific you’d like to learn about.  Thanks for watching!

    Nice!

I would love to see a video just of you Gelishing your nails. How you cap the free edge, how you prep, all that exciting stuff.

  2. I have only recently found your site but I have to say you are one of my favourites!!! I have always loved nice nails but had the same issue as you in that they chipped and it drove me mental! I have been using Gel polishes for almost two years now and my blog has only been going for a few months but I’m loving it!!! If you ever want to try any of the colors I have I would love to share with you!!!
    All the best.

Hi Kate – thanks for the kind words! :) I am interested in borrowing polishes to swatch if you are in the US. Let’s chat via email about it.

I want to learn all I can about how to maintain my nails on a gel regimen and still be able to use my massive regular nail polish stash. I have bought around 10 gel polishes this month. My nails are very thin and tear easily,so I recently decided to go to gel manicures.

    • Andrea says:

Hi Natalie – Some regular polishes can be used for stamping and you can apply regular polish over a gel base, but it won’t last as long as a gel manicure.

I love the idea of tutorials in youtube!!!!! I would love to see gelish nail art!!!

    I have two questions:
1- which gel polish remover do you use?
2- where do you buy the gelish mini?

I live in the UK but I am going to Miami in March and I would like to buy some colours!

I love your blog and I would love your videos.

    Carolina :)

Hi Carolina – I use pure acetone remover. I just pick up whatever is available at my local drugstore. I buy Gelish minis at Sally’s Beauty Suppy. :)

Your work station is incredible, how do you keep the glass from moving? I loooove the idea of the fingerprint! beautiful ..everything!

    • Andrea says:

Thank you. The glass is very heavy and I used the little clear rubber bumpers between the helmers and the glass. Once in a while the helmers roll a little if I push on the table, but in general it’s very steady. :)

Hi Andrea I loooove your work I’m crazy on gelish but I’ve just recently discovered IBD gel polish OMG!!!!! It’s great and find it’s better than gelish… Well not better but lasts longer and has a loooovely finish. What do u think ? Gelish v IBD?
