St. Patrick’s Day Nail Art 2014

I’m getting in the spirit for St. Patrick’s Day with this festive nail art.  I purchased some shamrock nail art stickers from Etsy last year and have kept them on hand for this occasion.  I’m really happy with how this manicure turned out.  The sticker decal worked wonderfully.  I see that they are now sold out where I purchased them, but if you can find them elsewhere they are a great buy.

I used four different gel polishes in this design: Gelaze In the Lime Light (light green), Couture High Roller (dark green), OPI Goldeneye (gold) and Gelish Artic Freeze (white).  On my middle finger I started out with two coats of Arctic Freeze, wiped the tacky layer and then applied the decal.  I added the gold accents with a dotting tool.  I used nail art striping tape as guides for the stripes on my thumb and ring finger, and carefully applied the colors in between the tape lines using a dotting tool.

I’m ready to paint the town green!

This is a great look! I simply must own that gold polish! Can you share any tips for working with striping tape and gel polish? I consistently get bleeding under the tape.
