Polish Days Manicure – Snowflakes n’ Glitter

The Polish Days theme this month is “BLING!” – anything sparkly, glittery or metallic.  I decided to do a winter / holiday theme with some bling.  I fell in love with Gelish Holiday Party Blues when I swatched it a couple of days ago, so I used this as the base.  I stamped on snowflakes in a random pattern using Bundle Monster plate BM319 and Konad white polish.  Holiday Party Blues is already loaded with glitter, but I added even more using a glitter pot that came in my last Julep Maven box, and then I added rhinestones to the center of the snowflakes.  I really love how this turned out, and hope you do too!

I love this design and want to do something similar but I’m trying to decide between the colors Holiday Party Blues and Wiggle Fingers Wiggle Thumbs. Do you recommend one over the other? I haven’t purchased either yet because I can’t decide. I would prefer one that I can do more with so I was leaning towards Wiggle Fingers, but the blue shade of Holiday Party is so sultry that I’m torn. Andrea, any advice you can give would be much appreciated.
By the way, I’m totally addicted to your blog! :-)

I use Holiday Party Blues more than Wiggle Fingers because it achieves better opacity and it has some larger holographic glitters in it. Wiggle Fingers is more sheer and has very fine glitter. They’re both really pretty, and Wiggle Fingers would be a good color for layering so I can see why you’d be torn. You really can’t go wrong with either. :)
