OPI Gelcolor Goldeneye
I’ve been on a hunt for a gold glitter gel polish with full coverage and I finally found one! This is OPI Gelcolor Goldeneye from the Skyfall collection. I’ve seen this in the regular nail polish version, but didn’t realize it also existed in gel. This is the perfect addition to my collection… it’ll be awesome for accent nails. Score! It’s a very yellow gold, so I can see that a more muted gold might also come in handy.
First, i adore your swatches! They are as useful as they are beautiful.
I used a very thin coat of Goldeneye over black last Christmas. It looked fabulous — festive, edgy, and not at all “too” blingy. It is a very versatile color.

This colour looks great as a full manicure. I have only used it as a topper or accent nails so far but I think I will have to do a mani with this as the star of the show – soon!
If you are looking for a less yellow gold glitter you could try IBD Just Gel ‘All That Glitters’ which is gold glitter with holo glitter mixed in or you could try Orly Gel FX in Luxe which is buildable and more of a foil finish. Both are gorgeous.

MAAAAAAN I could’ve used that this past weekend on a mani I did!! I’ll have to research OPI gel color and see if it cures under the 18G LED. And see if they have nice pastel pinks. Cuz Gelish + pink = fading >:(

Goldeneye did cure in my 18G lamp, but it’s the only OPI gel color that I own currently.
Hey Andrea. I had a pedi done today with an OPI colour and I absolutely LOVE it! I have found it is available in gel too – just wondering if you know if gelish base and top coat would work with it and my mini 45 led lamp? Thanks :) Nicci

Hey Andrea! I couldn’t find any other references to Gelcolour from OPI on your blog. Just checking how much of it you’ve tried and what you think of wear, application etc compared to others like Gelish? Thanks :D
This is the only OPI I’ve ever tried :)
I have used both Gelish and OPI. I can’t remember if i have used the OPI with the gelish base coat and top coat, but when used with the OPI base and top coat it chips really easy. I did a manicure with OPI and by the next day it was already chipped. I have used mostly gelish since and it doesn’t chip until about day 7 or 8, if it does chip.
