Gelish Trends – A Pinch of Pepper

I bought a few more Gelish Trends polishes and this one is A Pinch of Pepper, a black and white glitter topper in a clear base.  I thought I would show what it looks like over black, white and a color.  The pink color that you see here is Gelish Carnival Hangover… which has completely changed colors on me.  I used to be a more purple shade, but is now a very bright pink… that’s the first time I’ve had that happen.  See what it used to look like here.

A Pinch of Pepper is a fun glitter topper that can be used over any color.  Obviously if you wear it over white or black, you can’t see the glitter that matches the base color.  I applied two coats of a Pinch of Pepper on each nail.  Do you like it?

I think this will be my favourite of the Trends collection. It’s an unique effect gel polish, and the black studs/beads accent it perfectly.

Interesting that the black glitter completely disappears over black but the white is still visible over white. This is the only polish I bought from the trends collection. :)

    Hi Andrea,

I have noticed you only photograph one hand when you post new designs. When you do a new design, are both hands the same? If the other hand is just plain, do you match the polish to one used in the “fancy” hand? Thanks

Yes I hold the camera with my right hand, so you only ever see my left hand. I honestly don’t change the polish on my right hand nearly as often as I change the left hand. I’m always experimenting with colors and designs on my left hand so it’s very common for me to have two completely different hands (as I do right now). I will do nail art on both hands for special occasions and if I plan to keep it on for more than a couple of days, and sometimes I do match my right hand with a complimentary color.

I have the same problem with Carnival Hangover. It isn’t so pink like yours but it is more pinkier than in the beginning.

A pinch of pepper is the only trend I have (yet!) and I love it. It looks so cute over pastels like little birds eggs and perfect for Spring :-)

After reading this a few weeks ago I decided to check out my own Carnaval Hangover and I’m so disappointed! It now looks almost exactly like Shake it til You Samba. Carnaval was one of my favorites and although I like how it looks now it’s definitely not the same.
