Gelish Rendezvous and My Forbidden Love

This is Gelish Rendezvous.  Based on Gelish’s color pops I thought this would have been a dark purple, but it’s actually more of a cranberry color.  While I was wearing it I could see hues of red, pink and purple. It’s really a gorgeous color, but I have no idea how to classify it other than to call it cranberry.  How would you describe this color?

My Forbidden Love is another cranberry-ish color. This shade is darker and has a lovely shimmer finish.  It also has some purple hues to it, though my lightbox captured more of the red.   The lightbox also washed out the finish a little, so I took a picture in my car to try to show the color IRL.  This is a really great fall color.

You might also notice that my nails are a little shorter in these pictures.  I recently took up a new hobby that required me to file my nails down… rock wall climbing!  It’s a lot of fun and a great full-body workout, but it’s really hard to get a good grip with long nails.  So if you notice my nails getting shorter and shorter, that’s why.  :)
