Gelish High Voltage Swatch

Are you ready for another glittery Gelish polish?! This is High Voltage – a pink jelly base that’s loaded with glitter.  I feel like such a girl… I can’t get enough glitter right now.  LOL This is three coats of High Voltage and it applied very evenly.  I’m working my way through these Gelish swatches.  At this rate I might have the entire line swatched by the end of the year!  I heard there will be some new summer colors coming out so hopefully I’ll know more soon.

I’m also working on some gel polish FAQ’s.  Let me know if you have any questions and I’ll try to address them in a post this week.

I just got this yesterday, and I’m even more excited about it after seeing the swatches! OMG holy pink glitter….SO pretty!! I assumed I’d have to layer it over another pink, but it looks great on its own!
Thanks for your wonderful swatches. I always refer to them before I get a new gel polish!

  2. Very pretty!
    1. Since you swatch quite often does removing often dry out your nails?
    2. I didn’t see your swatches of the Magneto collection did you swatch them yet?
    3. Please explain dry brushing and what are the benefits and pls explain how it’s done.

Hi Andrea, love your blog. You have gorgeous nails.

A question for your FAQ’s – my gelish applications lift quite easily along the free edge only after a couple of days. I buff my natural nail, apply the cleanser, the pH Bond and Foundation and then follow with some Structure, colour and Top It Off. I can’t work out what I am doing wrong?

The only explanation I can think of is maybe I am applying too many layers.

    Thanks for any advice

I get this question a lot, but I’m not sure what the answer is. Are you applying moisturizer before polishing? My only recommendations are to make sure the nail is completely clean and oil-free, and be sure to cap the free edge with the foundation too. It shouldn’t matter how many coats you are applying, it only matters if the foundation gets a good bond to the nail and all layers are curing properly.

Hi Andrea! I have been referencing your swatches for quite some time now. I love your nails! Some of the gelish colors are very runny and move around during the curing process how do you still keep your manicures looking so controlled? This color always gives me trouble High Voltage.

I love having my toenails match my fingernails. I have been able to find matching gel and non-gel polish through OPI, but really love this Gellish High Voltage! Is there a matching color for my toes? I don’t want to use gel polish on my toes.

Thanks!! Just found this website and plan to visit it more often!

Check the Morgan Taylor lacquer line. Many of their colors match with existing Gelish colors. There are many brands that now come with a matching nail lacquer too like LeChat Perfect Match, Daisy Duo, and Kiara Sky.
