Gelish Golden Treasure & Twinkle Swatches

I’ve been searching for a gel polish that has fine gold glitter, but is also very dense and provides full coverage.  I purchased Gelish Golden Treasure and Gelish Twinkle, but unfortunately neither of them quite fit the bill since they don’t provide full coverage.  They are both lovely though and since they have a clear base they would be great glitter toppers over other colors.

In person I really can’t tell a huge difference between the two, so I don’t see the need to own both.  Twinkle is a little more of a yellow gold, and it has some holographic glitters sprinkled in the mix.  I applied three coats of each in the swatches below.

I really like this polish, it’s very pretty!

  3. Both are pretty but Twinkle is the prettiest one.

While those are lovely, I found a soak-off gel that fits the bill: Super Nail ProGel in Trophy Cup. If you click through my profile to my blog, I do have a swatch. One coat of it is equal to the three coats pictured here.

I wish Gelish would put out more glittery polish! (Although I suppose I could use loose glitter to get that look.)

You can try Gelish “Danny’s Little Helpers” from the Holiday collection. This collection consists of Gelish glitter polishes (gold, silver, red, green, blue and black) that provide the full coverage you are looking for.

Thanks, Michelle. I have that color as well as Meet the King – they are both good golds, but I’m looking for a pure gold glitter polish. I’m planning to do a mani with this shortly and I’m actually just going to apply loose gold glitter over Meet the King for the effect that I want :)
