FingerPaints Flakies – Lunar Flair
I picked up two of the FingerPaints flakie gel polishes at Sally’s a while back and am just now getting around to trying them out. The two that I bought are Lunar Flair and Midnight Flash. I actually have a hard time telling the two apart. I think that Midnight Flash just doesn’t have the orange/gold flecks, but they both have blue and green flecks. These pictures show two coats of Lunar Flair over Gelish After Dark. I really love this look although it’s a little dark for summer. The flakies can be applied over any color, but I thought this one would look great over blue. I don’t know if these polishes are still being sold. I don’t see them on the Sally’s site and also couldn’t find them on Amazon or eBay.
I bought this at Sally’s a couple weeks ago off their clearance table. It has been discontinued.
I grabbed a bottle of the Midnight Flash at Sally’s during their half off clearance sale. Was excited to try it for $4! I used it in my 4th of July mani over Gelish Caution. Nice looking mani, Jill! I did have a couple of pieces that stuck out after applying my top coat. I actually took a buffer and buffed off the bumps and then applied another coat of top coat. I’m so glad you asked that question… I should have remembered to mention that! :)
Thanks! This is my first mani with this much going on. 3 colors, loose glitter, stamping and striping tape… and I love it! I had the same happen. I noticed the flecks weren’t laying down after I cured my first hand. Had a few pieces that the top coat didn’t cover so I went back with a layer of structure gel and then topped it off and they are smooth as glass. I love how smooth structure gel can make glitter of all kinds. I forgot you can hit it with a buffer to knock it down. Thanks!
I bought mine from sally’s on clearance also. I also got the Heat Flare. Midnight Flare and Lunar Flare. Midnight Flare is a combo of Lunar Flare and Heat Flare. I’ve just recently gotten back into gel polish, I purchased a setup over two years ago but never used it. After searching for a way to repair my nail that has a side split, I stumbled upon your Acrygel video and I’m now hooked. Luckily I have a Sally’s near by, I’ve purchase over 30 polished in the past month all from Sally’s clearance (lately they’ve been running a 50% off clearance sale every weekend) and last month they had the Gelish and Fingerpaints buy one get one free. I’m obsessed now…LOL!
