Beach Manicure

Hi everyone! I just got home from a week on the beach with family and friends in Siesta Key, Florida. We had a great time, though the weather didn’t fully cooperate. We had a few storms and more rain and overcast skies than usual, but the temperatures were very comfortable with the beach breeze and we still tanned even on the overcast days.

I stayed up late the night before our flight and changed my polish. I didn’t have time to take pictures at home, so I grabbed a quick shot while I was on the beach the first day. My new bikini is teal and purple, so I went with a simple teal and purple theme using Gelish Radiance is My Middle Name and You Glare, I Glow. I used some loose glitter to add a glitter gradient to most of my nails, and stamped a tropical flower design onto my middle finger using Bundle Monster plate 318 and Konad white. My mani lasted perfectly through the week and was a great compliment to my new suit!

This is one of my favorites! I can’t wait to see the swatches of all your new polishes. That would have been fun mail to come home to. :-)

  2. I love this mani! Did you put a gel top coat on top of this mani to make it last?

Oh I love this! Down to the picture being taken on the beach!

Thanks, Kripa! :) Too bad it was an overcast day on the beach… but a day on the beach always beats a day at work!

    Hey Andrea,
I tried using Gelish and then put some glitter on over my last color coat (My Favorite Accessory) and it was really rough even with two coats of TIO. Any advice when using glitter with Gelish?

    • Andrea says:

Brush off any loose excess glitter, and you can also use your finger to push the glitter down and smooth it out before top coating.

    Great, thanks!
